Managed subalpine coniferous forest, located on the Seehorn mountain near Davos in the Swiss Alps, 1600m asl. The site is part of the NABEL (Swiss air quality network) and a long-term forest ecosystem research site (LWF) of the WSL (Institut f.Wald Schnee & Landschaft). Eddy covariance flux measurements were started in 1997 (tower coordinates: 46°48'55.2" N and 9°51'21.3" E at 1639 m asl).
